In groups of three, students will create three conversion charts to use as teaching aids for the 6th grade mathematics classes. The three conversion charts will include one within the metric system, one within the U.S. customary system, and one converting between the metric and U.S. customary systems. All three of the group members will participate in creating the conversion charts and be responsible for knowing the information individually. Each student in the group will have a role where they will be the teacher of a group of 6th graders where they will explain one of the conversion charts. The students will be assessed on accuracy of the charts, clarity of their conversion charts, participation within the group, and participation in teaching.
